Alma Flor Ada Wins Best of Woodbury 2026 for Language Immersion

I have some wonderful news to share, and it belongs to all of us.

Alma Flor Ada has been voted the 2026 Best of Woodbury winner for Best Language Immersion Program or School. This award is chosen by our community, by the families of Woodbury casting their votes for the places they love most. That is what makes it mean so much. It did not come from a panel or a paid placement. It came from you.

What this award really means

Best of Woodbury is a readers’ choice award. Every year, Woodbury Magazine invites the community to nominate and vote for their favorite local businesses and programs. So this recognition is a direct reflection of the trust that Woodbury families place in us, and of the daily work our teachers pour into every child who walks through our doors.

Last year, our community named us a Best of Woodbury winner and a two-time Minnesota’s Best Bronze winner. This year, you lifted us to the top of the Language Immersion category. That kind of momentum does not happen by accident. It happens because families see their children thrive here, and they tell their neighbors.

An award like this is really a thank-you note to our teachers. Our educators are native Spanish speakers from across Latin America and Spain, and they bring language, culture, and heart into the classroom every single day. They are the reason children here become confident, bilingual, and kind. To our teachers and staff, this one is yours.

And to our families, thank you for trusting us with your children’s earliest and most important years. Thank you for voting. Thank you for being part of this community we are so proud to serve. The same commitment, every day

Recognition is encouraging, but it does not change our mission. We will keep doing what earned your trust in the first place: small classes, native-speaking teachers, a proven 90/10 immersion model, and a genuine love for every child. We are also proud to now offer a full Spanish immersion Kindergarten, so families can continue the journey with us all the way through their child’s kindergarten year.
