Spanish Immersion Kindergarten

Alma Flor Ada is now enrolling Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year. Our full Spanish immersion Kindergarten in Woodbury gives five-year-olds a world-class academic foundation and the lifelong gift of a second language, taught entirely through our 90/10 immersion model by native Spanish-speaking teachers.

Why Kindergarten Is the Perfect Time

Age five is one of the most powerful windows for learning a second language. Young children absorb language naturally, which strengthens communication, problem-solving, and cognitive skills that benefit them for years to come. A Spanish immersion Kindergarten turns that window into a lasting advantage, giving your child the documented benefits of bilingualism right as they begin their formal school years.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does Kindergarten enrollment open, and who is eligible?
Kindergarten enrollment at Alma Flor Ada is open now for the 2026-2027 school year. Your child is eligible if they will be five years old on or before September 1, 2026. Spots are limited, so families are encouraged to schedule a tour early.
Is this a full Kindergarten program or just preparation?
It is a full Kindergarten program. Children follow kindergarten standards and curriculum in a 90/10 Spanish immersion setting, building the academic, language, and social foundation for first grade and beyond. This is different from our Kindergarten Readiness levels (104 to 105), which prepare younger children, ages four and up, for this step.
Does my child need to speak Spanish to enroll in Kindergarten?
No. Most AFA families do not speak Spanish at home. Our 90/10 immersion model and native Spanish-speaking teachers meet every child at their level, and children become confident bilingual learners through daily, natural exposure.
What is included in Kindergarten tuition?
Kindergarten tuition is $325 per week and includes full-day immersion instruction, all curriculum materials, and authentic, healthy meals. Extended care and holiday care options are available for working families. Contact our staff for monthly payment options.
